Winona Area Toys for Kids (TFK) has been in existence for over 30 years under one name or another, all with the common goal of making a toy available to area children who may looking forward to very few or no toys at the holiday season. It is currently operating under the Winona Community Foundation and as such is a qualified tax exempt organization. The toys and monetary donations are collected from individuals, businesses, and organizations in the area. Money donated is spent purchasing toys from stores in Winona. Toys are made available at the ‘Toy Store’ to be held on Saturday 12/10 at Tandeski Center on the SE VOTECH campus. The only qualification to receive a toy is that the parent feels they need some help in providing a toy for their child.

There are about 140 barrels placed in the area. Included in this number are the barrels placed on the WSU campus at the residence halls, Maxwell Hall, and Krzsko Commons. Your donation of a new unwrapped toy would be greatly appreciated and go toward making an area child a bit happier this holiday season. If you would like to make a monetary donation it can be sent to Winona Area Toys for Kids, Winona Community Foundation 51E 4th St. Suite 314, Winona MN 55987.
